Artificial Intelligence is evolving at an incredible pace, reshaping the way businesses operate, products are built, and talent is hired. As companies continue to invest in AI, understanding where the market is heading has never been more important.

We sat down with Taylor, one of our AI Recruitment Consultants at Odiin, to discuss the trends he’s watching most closely, where AI is creating the biggest impact today, his predictions for the future, and what he’s learned since making the move into the AI market.

Tell us a little about yourself and your role at Odiin.

I’ve been at Odiin for just a couple of months shy of two years. My role is finding AI talent across the globe for pre-seed to Series A companies, helping them scale and achieve their goals.

Which AI trend do you think is getting too much attention, and which one isn’t getting enough?

I don’t think you can ever have enough attention on all areas of AI. If AI can help, I am all for it, even creating silly photos with the kids, it is good fun. The area that I believe needs the most attention is R&D in healthcare. If we can cure diseases and improve lives, that is where the main focus should go.

Where do you think AI is creating the most value today?

Time saved on research. People can work on projects and get products out much faster. AI has lowered the barrier to entry so much that even a 6-year-old could probably build and launch a website now, which is both exciting and slightly scary.

Is the intersection of AI and Web3 overhyped or underrated?

Underrated. If we can get to a more decentralised world faster, I’m all for it. The area that interests me most is security and cryptography, particularly the potential for AI agents to play a bigger role within blockchain ecosystems. I think there’s still a huge amount of untapped potential there.

If you had to make one AI prediction for the next 3 years, what would it be?

A robot in every home 😂 (iRobot quote which then ends in a robotic war 👀)

What’s been the biggest learning curve since joining Odiin?

The depth of the tech stack and understanding how it works. Coming from medical recruitment, which is already a knowledgeable sector, AI and blockchain were very different. Each company is building something different, and not one person is ever perfect for a role.
